Learn to Make A
Succulent Wreath
With Dos Valles Garden Club
Are you ready to decorate for the holidays? The Dos Valles Garden Club is offering hands-on experience with succulent wreath making on Tuesday, October 1, 9 to 11 am. The cost is $10 for participants who keep their wreaths; however, many people contribute their wreaths to be sold in the Oct. 19 plant sale.
This learning activity will be held at Martin Gang Ranch, 28933 Cole Grade Rd., near Adams Park in Valley Center.
Sally Sanderson will be sharing her wreath-making skills with the group. Please register with her by Saturday, Sept. 28 if you are planning to attend: vcwillow@aol.com.
Participants are asked to bring succulent cuttings which should be harvested the day before so
the stem ends have a chance to harden. If students have wreath frames at home, they are requested to bring them.
Anyone interested in learning to make succulent wreaths is welcome; DVGC membership not required. For more information, see dosvallesgardenclub.org.
The next regular garden club meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8, 10am-12 noon at the St. StephenCommunity Hall, 31020 Cole Grade Road. The speaker will be DVGC member Lori Kilmer, sharing her expertise on plumerias. The public is invited to attend.
